Saint Francis Couture designs and manufactures high fashion, animal friendly shoes, accessories, and we are now introducing apparel, apparel, jewelry, and lots of new collections of shoes and purses.  I am the company's founder and designer and my name is Tere Albanese.  I am a vegetarian who eats nothing with a face or a heart and refuses to wear anything made from animals.  I am a former hair stylist and high school English teacher.  I thought the world needed some high fashion, moderately priced, comfortable, but sexy, shoes and accessories that were cruelty free, so I started drawing.  Saint Francis must have helped me because I had no idea how to draw.  The company is named after Saint Francis, who is the patron saint of animals.  My first line is the Africa Collection, which honors African Wildlife. 

The impetus behind starting Saint Francis Couture was to be able to help animal welfare organizations through cruelty free fashion.  As the company grows, the more I am able to donate to these wonderful organizations that always need financial assistance to take care of so many animals that need our help.

I hope I will be able to give women a place where they will want to shop for two reasons. One, they can find what they want at a reasonable price.  And two, they can feel good about wearing cruelty free clothes, shoes and accessories knowing that part of the proceeds will go to animal welfare.
